How we collect, use, and protect your information.
This policy explains how Hers For The Taking ("we," "us") collects and uses your information when you use hersforthetaking.com and our products.
We do not sell your personal information.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal information on one or more of these legal bases:
When you reply to a program email, your reply comes to us at Hers For The Taking. We read these replies and use them to improve the program and understand how it is working. When you write about other people (a manager, coworkers, your employer), you do not need to use their real names; initials or a role like "my manager" are enough. We do not quote you by name or in any identifying way in public marketing without your permission.
Some programs let you save your progress so you can pick up on another device. If you choose this, your saved answers are stored against a private link we email you, and you can delete your saved record at any time using the delete link on the program page. Do not put other people's identifying details, or sensitive information like health or financial account numbers, in your saved answers.
We send program emails and, if you opt in, a newsletter and marketing emails. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and we honor opt-outs promptly. Our emails are sent through MailerLite, which processes your email address and engagement data on our behalf. Marketing emails include our postal mailing address, as the law requires.
We do not sell your personal information or share it for others' advertising.
We use cookies and similar tools to run the site and understand how it is used. Analytics is on by default and you can opt out at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer. The cookie notice lists what we use. You can also control cookies through your browser settings.
We keep your information for as long as you have a relationship with us and as long as we need it for the purposes above, including order history and tax records we are required to keep. We delete or de-identify it when we no longer need it.
We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process your information in the United States and other countries. If you are in the EEA or the UK, this means your information may be transferred outside your home country. Where we do this, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the standard contractual clauses or another lawful transfer mechanism.
Depending on where you live, you have some or all of these rights over your personal information: to access it, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive a copy in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also unsubscribe from marketing at any time using the link in any marketing email.
To make a request, use the contact form. We will respond within the time the law requires, and within a reasonable time in every case. We may need to verify your identity first, and we may keep information we are legally required to retain, such as tax records. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.
If you are in the EEA or the UK and you believe we have mishandled your information, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
We take reasonable steps to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The site and products are meant for adults and are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from them.
We may update this policy and will post the new version with a new "last updated" date. Material changes get reasonable notice.
Questions? Use the contact form and we will get back to you soon.
